India

Seeds of Hope opened a new clubhouse in India in 2021. Life in rural India is a vicious cycle of poverty, kept in motion by barriers to education and opportunities. India’s poverty has increased dramatically since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is now more important than ever that young people have access to the valuable resources that Seeds of Hope provides. Many schools have been shut down as a result of COVID-19, and this has made it difficult for students to further their education. Seeds of Hope provides a variety of vocational, therapeutic, recreational, spiritual growth, human-trafficking awareness, and English classes at no-cost. Children who are out of school are at more risk for becoming victims of child marriage, and child labor and exploitation. At Seeds of Hope, these children are able to feel part of a community that represents stability, and one that will be there for them no matter what.
